A fine Derby figure of Mercury, c.1770,  patch marks to base, 13" high. Some good restoration to forearm and wings. Stock No  SA0805 Price £850

A Derby  'Dresden Shepherdess' prior to 1759, she is clutching flowers in the folds of her skirt and with flowers in other hand, a lamb is in repose at her feet.  Bradshaw labels this model D17 and notes that it follows Meissen prototypes and is is among the earliest English versions of the ‘Dresden Shepherds’. A ‘gold anchor‘ mark Chelsea Derby porcelain figure of a lady, circa 1760-65, modelled standing wearing a colourful dress besides an open wicker hamper, resting on a flower encrusted stump with a pug at her feet, on a Rococo scroll moulded base picked out in gilt and green, height approx 22cm.  Some good old restoration and a few losses.  A purchase receipt dated 8 December 1962 from Bishop (Marlow) Ltd signed by Victor Marlow comes with this figure. A Derby Group, impressed mark No 12 and script G. A Pastoral Group by a Fountain, model attributed to Pierre Stephan c. 1772. There are some firing cracks, the ring of flowers is missing from her right hand the lid to the urn is missing. This is a very rare and desirable model.            Stock No. SA0631.   Price £POA
